Editorial transparency

Our method and our editorial team

VolClaim's information on compensation for delayed, cancelled or overbooked flights is published and checked by TETRIS GROUP LLC, the publisher of the site. Last overall review: October 2026.

Who publishes this information?

Editorial responsibility: TETRIS GROUP LLC, the company that publishes VolClaim. Every page of the site is published under this responsibility. The legal details are set out in the legal notice.

Which sources do we rely on?

Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 of the European Parliament and of the Council, as interpreted by the Court of Justice of the European Union (in particular on delays of three hours or more on arrival). The amounts of €250, €400 or €600 depend on the flight distance. We also refer to official bodies and mediators: see the Trust page.

How do we check claims channels?

For each airline, we manually check the official claims channel (form or address). We never use a guessed email address. If a channel is not confirmed, we handle it case by case before anything is sent.

How do we calculate your eligibility?

The calculator applies the rules of the regulation: flight distance, delay on arrival, cancellation with or without sufficient notice, denied boarding. It gives an indication, never a guarantee: extraordinary circumstances (extreme weather, air traffic control strike) can exclude compensation. Every claim is checked before it is sent to the airline.

Updates and corrections

Our pages are reviewed when the regulation or airline practices change, for example the announced European reform of the regulation. To report an error or request a correction, write to support@volclaim.com: we reply and correct confirmed errors.

Independence and remuneration

VolClaim is a results-based paid service: our remuneration is a commission charged only if compensation is obtained, as stated in the terms and conditions.
