Why trust VolClaim

Last updated: September 2026

Entrusting your claim to a third party requires trust. Rather than asking you to take our word for it, here, in full transparency, is what we actually do — and what we do not yet claim.

1. Pricing stated before you start

Our commission — 25% incl. VAT out of court, capped at 50% incl. VAT in total if court action becomes necessary, only if successful — is shown on the home page, before you enter any information. No hidden items, no additional fees if the claim fails: if your claim is unsuccessful, you pay nothing. In court proceedings, this total commission covers all procedural costs (court fees, lawyer, judicial officer), which we advance and bear; if the proceedings fail, you pay nothing, and procedural costs awarded against the airline (legal costs, Article 700) are retained by us.

2. A verifiable calculation method, not a rough estimate

The compensation amount shown by our calculator directly applies the scale in Article 7 of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 (€250 to €600 depending on the flight distance) and its UK261 equivalent. This scale is public: you can check it yourself with the DGAC (French civil aviation authority).

3. A clear mandate, signed electronically, that you can verify

Before any action with an airline on your behalf, you electronically sign a representation mandate (Article 3 of our terms and conditions). Each signed mandate generates a verification ID that you can check again at any time on our signature verification page.

4. Your data protected, with a documented retention policy

Your personal data is used only to process your claim. Our privacy policy details the retention periods and the automatic archiving/anonymisation mechanisms in place, in accordance with the GDPR.

5. Remedies that do not depend on us

If a disagreement arose between you and VolClaim, you do not have to take our word for it either: the Direction Générale de l'Aviation Civile (DGAC) monitors the application of Regulation (EC) No 261/2004 in France, and a consumer mediator (Médiateur Tourisme et Voyage, or the mediator designated by BAR France depending on the airline) can be contacted free of charge. The independent fact sheets of the Institut national de la consommation (INC) and of FNAUT (an approved transport users' association) exist independently of us.

6. Who is behind VolClaim

VolClaim is operated by TETRIS GROUP LLC (see our legal notice). You can write to us directly at contact@volclaim.com — a human team replies, not a robot. Our editorial approach (sources, checks, corrections) is detailed on the Editorial method page.

7. What we do not (yet) claim

VolClaim is a recent service: we do not have years of history or thousands of handled claims to showcase, and we prefer to say so rather than display unverifiable figures. What we owe you in the meantime is total transparency about our method and our pricing — which is what this page documents. As the volume of claims we handle grows, we will publish concrete, verifiable indicators here (success rate, average timescales) rather than promises.
